Situation 

Australian recycling business was looking to get the most value for e-waste sales.

Task 

• Identify and establish a relationship with a buyer in Japan.

• Over 2 years, manage the relationship and business deals between Japanese and Australian owners. 

• Accompany both owners on visits to each others business.  

• Broker a deal that is mutually beneficial for both parties.

• Oversee the list of sold items, work with both parties to ensure goods are packed and shipped correctly for a seamless transfer from Australia to Japan.

Result

• 1st ever container was shipped to Japan late 2019.  

• Much higher price was secured than available domestically.
